Certification Program Preparation

This program is very intense and fast paced.   A program binder is provided to all participants approximately one month prior to the program.  The binder contains the major concepts that will be presented during the program and information that will be on the testing units.  Also included in the binder are supplemental reading materials, web links as well as a vocabulary list to assist in the understanding of program material.  Although CBE certification requires an understanding of basic core knowledge, and a test will be administered to demonstrate competency, this program will not teach core knowledge as a didactic segment.  The program presentation will consist of an in depth demonstration of a Clinical Breast Examination that integrates core knowledge throughout the steps and procedure through the use of case studies.  It is strongly advised that program attendees thoroughly study and have full comprehension of the core knowledge section contained in the binder, prior to coming to the program.  A question and answer period will be available to clarify any issues regarding core knowledge.

A full half day is devoted to practice and observation in preparation for the examinations on Sunday. Each participant will have one-on-one time with test evaluators and will be able to observe others in group settings.
